Snyder to Share Insight into Building an Internal Structure that Supports Innovation

Whirlpool Corporation today announced that Dr. Nancy Snyder, corporate vice president of Leadership and Strategic Competency Creation, will speak at the Financial Times (FT) Innovate Conference at 9:40 a.m. on Nov. 13 in London. Snyder will share insights into how companies can build an effective structure within their organization to support innovation.

A faculty member of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in innovation and organization change, Snyder is the one of the world's leading thinkers and practitioners in transforming large business environments to achieve innovation from everyone and everywhere. In 2006, BusinessWeek named Snyder one of the 25 Innovation Champions (IN25) in the world.

She is the author of numerous articles and the co-author of two best- selling books: "Strategic Innovation: Embedding Innovation as a Core Competency in Your Organization" and "Mastering Virtual Teams" and will publish a third book on innovation embedment in large organizations in Spring 2008. Snyder is a frequent public speaker on the topic of innovation and organization change to executive level audiences around the world. She holds a doctorate in organizational behavior from The George Washington University.
