"According to a recent study, the average American family dines out three evenings a week simply due to time constraints and a general love for restaurant food," said Laura Smith Wade, senior home economist for Whirlpool brand. "At-home cooks are looking for tried and true solutions that will help them provide wallet-friendly, creative and well-rounded meals at home in less time. Let's Eat In provides the tools they need to get started -- easy-to-prepare, tasty recipes -- and the incentive they need to create their own family favorites."

With the right tools and a few expert tips, families can stretch the dollar and reinvent dinners together at home, creating meal ideas that can be used time and time again. A few tips for quick meal preparation include:

-- Plan a menu each week to spend less time each evening trying to answer
the age-old question, "What's for dinner?"

-- Don't be afraid to use short-cuts -- prepared pizza crusts, bottled
marinades and dressings, and store-made rotisserie chickens are great
     time savers

-- Cook enough proteins one night to use in two or even three meals. For
example, roasting a chicken one day can provide a complete meal while
the leftovers can be used in soup, quesadillas and more later in the
     week

-- When freezing meats, include salad dressing or prepared marinade in the
     freezer bag for instant marinating

With annual sales of approximately $19 billion and more than 73,000 employees, Whirlpool Corporation is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances. Whirlpool brand continued its cadence of innovation with the industry's largest over-the-range SpeedCook oven, the Whirlpool Gold® Velos® oven, which combines the power of an oven with the convenience of a microwave, allowing consumers to grill, broil, bake and steam. As testament to the brand's consumer insight, the first range designed specifically for the Hispanic consumer with controls in English and Spanish, as well as a comal for heating tortillas, was created for the fastest growing segment of the American population.
