BENTON HARBOR, Mich., May 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeff Fettig, chairman and CEO for Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR), will deliver the keynote address today for the opening session at EE Global 2013, taking place May 20-21, 2013 in Washington, D.C. He will speak about Whirlpool Corporation's continued environmental responsibility as the leader in the global home appliance industry and will offer his remarks starting at 10 a.m. EDT.

Mr. Fettig will open the plenary session titled, "The Next Generation of EE: Driving Productivity through Investment, Modernization and Education" and participate in a Q&A session with Kateri Callahan, President, Alliance to Save Energy.

Whirlpool Corporation will have two other presenters at EE Global 2013. Jeff Noel, Corporate Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, will present on "Elevating Standards," how to make voluntary programs that are effective in driving new and better technology. His session takes place today, May 20 from 4:15-5:30 p.m. EDT. And Michelle VanderMeer, Senior Director, North American Logistics, will present on "Soup to Nuts & Bolts," a look at how we can improve the eco-efficiency of supply chains from top to bottom. Her session takes place tomorrow, May 21 from 1:45-3:00 p.m. EDT.
