BENTON HARBOR, Mich., July 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jenn-Air brand's new low-profile, 5-burner gas cooktops, including a 36-inch model with the most powerful burner in its collection, are now available at luxury appliance retailers nationwide.

The 36-inch 5-burner gas model features a 19,000 BTU dual-stacked PowerBurner that provides power for high-heat cooking techniques, while a 6,000 BTU simmer burner reduces to as low as 800 BTUs, ideal for simmering sauces at just below boiling. Aided by a wide melt cap that shields and diffuses the flame, this lower powered burner is perfect for melting delicate items like chocolate or butter. The PowerBurner, located at the center of the cooktop, features two levels of flames, the lower in the form of an elegant ring encircling the burner. Additional burners on this model include two 15,000 BTU burners and a 12,000 BTU burner.
The 30-inch 5-burner gas cooktop models also feature a 19,000 BTU Dual-Stacked PowerBurner and 6,000 BTU simmer burner, together with a 12,000 BTU burners and a 9,000 BTU burner to handle a range of cooking functions.
